ProtonVPN macOS Application

We Blockchain Education (BCE), have extracted the content from the above website to provide information how to setup a VPN, we have no affiliations or conncetions with this company and we advise our members to use a VPN of your choice.

This is a simple guide to installing and using the VPN application for Mac which is built by the ProtonVPN team.

Note: ProtonVPN application for Mac is available only for macOS 10.12 and above.

Download the ProtonVPN macOS app

Make sure you click on Save File.

Once downloaded, the Mac VPN application file should be located on your application bar’s downloads section, like it is in the screenshot below. Just single-click on the downloaded .dmg file and it will start extracting.

After extracting the Mac VPN application, click, hold, and drag ProtonVPN logo to the Applications folder.

After you do this, the ProtonVPN Mac application will appear in the Applications folder, or application menu, like in the screenshot below. Open the app.

You will be prompted with a message that says this application has been downloaded from the Internet and not Apple’s App Store. Click on Open and proceed to the login screen.

At the login screen, you have to enter the username and password that you registered at ProtonVPN or ProtonMail. Also, you can see that you have a few options like “Remember Login” and “Start on Boot“. When both of these options are enabled, the Mac VPN application will start on boot without any need to log in.

Once you have successfully entered your credentials, you will log in to the user interface of the Mac VPN application.

Here you can see the Countries tab, Profiles tab, Quick connect button, your current IP address, and a switch for Secure Core servers. If you are looking for the fastest way to secure your Internet connection, click on the Quick connect button and you will automatically connect to the closest VPN server to your current location with the lowest load for the best performance.

On the Profiles tab, you can either create your own profiles with custom settings or use our pre-made profiles, Fastest and Random.

To get the application menu, you have to navigate to the top-left of your Mac and click on ProtonVPN. In this menu you can check for updates, access your preferences, or log out of your account. If you select Preferences, you can adjust our application options to suit your tastes. You can also check your account and your current plan on the Account tab.

In the country list of the Mac VPN application, you will see country names with different logos. The logo that has two arrows facing different directions means that the country has servers that support P2P traffic. The onion logo means that country has servers that support for Tor over VPN.
You can see all the servers available in any country by clicking the down arrow on the right side to expand that country’s server list.

Important steps for older MacOS versions

Note: These steps are relevant for users of MacOS versions 10.12, 10.13 and 10.14

When trying to connect to the Mac VPN app for the first time, you will have to allow our software to add VPN configurations in your macOS settings. These configurations allow our software to redirect all of your Internet traffic through the encrypted VPN tunnel and let our software control your network VPN settings.

Also, you will have to enter your Mac user password and click the Always Allow button to establish a VPN connection. If you do not do this step correctly, you will not be able to establish a VPN connection.

This is what it looks like when you have successfully connected to your preferred ProtonVPN server. You will see the server load and the current Internet bandwidth speed.

Once you get the notification that you successfully connected to a server in the Mac VPN app, you can browse the Internet knowing ProtonVPN servers are protecting your privacy.

Full guide on how to verify your account on Binance.

2. Click on Deposit.

3. Select the Crypto tab.

4. Choose the cryptocurrency you would like to deposit.

As such, if you have BEP-2 tokens in the wallet you’re sending from, choose the BEP-2 deposit address. Be extra careful with this step, as if you deposit to the wrong address, you will lose your deposit.

6. Depositing BNB requires both a deposit address and a MEMO. You’ll need to copy and paste them both in the appropriate fields in the wallet you’re depositing from.

Why is a MEMO needed? It’s required because the BNB deposit address for all users is identical. The MEMO is a unique identifier assigned to each account that allows Binance to identify a deposit and credit the appropriate account.

10. Confirm the transaction. Once you’ve sent it from your Trust Wallet, you can look at its status in a block explorer by searching for the transaction ID. For example, you can use mints can for Binance Chain.

11. You’ll be able to see your incoming deposit under your Transaction history on Binance.

*From this option you can split your gains and sell.

If you select spilt sell then you will be getting a screen like above.
From this point you can set up and select what percentage of volume to sell at which percentage. However, the final total should be 100%. You can spilt 50/50 or 25% per sector or add your prefered amount.

*The Trailing Take Profit or TTP, in short, is a feature that designed to help you catch the rise. You set your Take Profit target on which trailing will activate and try to increase your profits as much as possible. The drawback that you can lose a part of the gain if the price does a reversal and go down just after trailing activation.

You can have the trailing feature enabled with the trigger and deviation percentage of your choice. What will the system do with these settings? When the price reaches your set trigger percentage it will activate the trailing. From this point, it will follow the price until it starts dropping. When the price goes down the system will sell coins when the price drops from the latest high more than the deviation percentage.
Ex – If the trigger value set as 10% then the trailing will start when the coin hits 10% and more. If you set the deviation to 5%, then once the coin is going down the system will identify the movement and will sell coins when the 5% limit reached.

Once the trailing sell done your records show like this.

* Stop Loss is a trading bid which is placed to Sell or Buy a particular trade only when a price reaches a specified level. You can understand more clearly by the given below image.

Stop loss can be put in the situation when you are uncertain about the market and need to sell your coins at the price if the coin dumps or you need to buy if the coin sudden pumps.
Let’s imagine that you bought the “XYZ” coin at 700 satoshis. Now the price went up and surge to 1200 Satoshi. Now you have 2 choices, either you sell it now and take profit or you wait until it goes higher, so you can take max profit. But how can you secure your profit at the current stage? This is where a Stop Loss is used, you can set a Stop limit of “1000 Stop” this means only active your sell order once the price drops to 1000 satoshi.
